It's based on meeting their criteria for safe driving every month. So the work/life balance tanked, and it went on for months with no end in sight. Certainly not good for anyone who has a family and likes to see them. Then something changed, and suddenly we were consistently working till dark and we all suddenly had trouble completing our routes for the day. I could even fit in time for a lunch break and still get all my customers done on time. I worked about 9-10 hours exactly and got home at around 6 every day. Hours can be long, depends on your local management and office staff. And the manager would just tell us that we should start our routes even earlier and make the effort to get more sales and bonuses. After working daily 12 hour shifts and making a few sales and bonuses, i still barely cleared $4000/month. Even after working 12 hour shifts and making additional sales and bonuses we would still fall way short of the upper advertised monthly pay on the job posting (~$5,200 is what they advertised). Pay is OK but the pay range they advertise was not being met by most of the techs while I was there.
